Sura in Yasni Exposé of Vijay Ravi

Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay’s 50th film ‘Sura’ is in its final stages and his following 51st film is also matching the speed of ‘Sura’. After ‘Sura’, Vijay will be doing the remake of Malayalam film ‘Bodyguard’ under the direction of Siddique. Music director is Vidyasagar and he is ready with the compositions for six songs. Pilot recording is on and the final songs will be ready soon. Yuga Bharathi has written all the songs. The shooting for ‘Bodyguard’ remake will begin in the first week of June soon after the release of ‘Sura’. And the other important thing about the movie is Asin is returning to Kollywood with this film.

Vijay who is on low following successive not so impressive films is planning to return with a bang with his next film ‘Sura’. The actor is trying for all possible value additions to make the film directed by S P Rajakumar a big hit characteristic of a Ilaya Thalapathy film. In the process the ‘Sura’ team is planning to rope in either Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni or the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar to feature in a song with Vijay. They are trying hard to get one day of their busy schedule to complete the task.What if they could not get the cricketing heroes after all their pleading and cajoling? The ‘Sura’ team is even prepared to create the heroes through computer graphics. But what if they later claim royalty? That’s for the producer to worry.Considering the popular belief that our cricketing heroes are more inclined to act in television commercials than performing on fields showing the right amount of money would make things easier. Selvaraghavan is currently busy with Pudhupettai after which he would be directing Venkatesh for a Telugu movie. Towards the year-end, Selvaraghavan would commence for Kanaka Rathna Films.

Vijay met the Tamil Nadu theatre owners at the Nadigar Sangam complex recently to iron out the differences and seek an amicable solution for his next release Kaavalkaaran. It is well known that the theatre owners have been demanding that Vijay make good the losses they had incurred because most of his recent releases fared badly in the box office. Following this huge unrest, the star had offered to buy the entire rights of Kaavalkaaran (first copy basis) and distribute it to the theatres for an amount that will be based on the losses they had incurred. The theatre owners are said to be happy over this outcome and have accepted it.

The Nadigar Sangam Chief Sarath Kumar and its secretary Radha Ravi has given their helping hands to Vijay to sort out the issue between the powerful exhibitors association. The issue became a headache to the actor, when a section of theatre owners held a press meet and blasted Vijay as his Sura failed miserably, causing the loss of Rs 6.5 crore to them. At that time they had demanded that he does a film for them as compensation.But the actor didn't react for that and kept his cool. It was at this time on the request of the star that Sarath and Nadigar Sangam stepped in and sorted out the issue amicably.The grapevine has it that next Vijay release Kavalkaran, will be given to theatres who suffered huge losses at low price. Vijay himself is said to be doing the film at reduced rates, so that all concerned can be compensated.It is said that the exhibitors also accepted the new deal and dispersed with satisfaction.

According to news reaching us the issue between theatre owners and Vijay is amicably resolved. A settlement was reached with some last minute negotiations involving Nadigar Sangam also. There was disenchantment between the actor and theatre owners after the theatre owners association raised a revolt against Vijay saying they had incurred heavy loses by screening successive Vijay films and so the actor was asked to compensate the loses in some ways. As per the negotiations and agreement Vijay will take over the film ‘Kavalkaran’ as a first copy basis and release it after settling the mutually accepted loses. And more the new film will be released in theaters which incurred losses screening Vijay films on priority. ‘Kavalkaran’ is a remake of Malayalam hit ‘Bodyguard’. It also makes the return of Asin to Kollywood. The film is expected to be released in August

Sources reveals that the actor will don the role of a fisherman in Sura which has music by Tollywood sensation Mani Sharma. The duo have worked together in Shahjahan, Youth, Pokkiri, Thirupachi and many more. Most of them were chart-busters, so let us hope Sura repeats the magic again.

A break in the shoot of his forthcoming film ‘Kaavalkaran’ thanks to the marriage of director Siddique’s daughter in Kerala has made Vijay to take a flight to Bangkok, sources say.“Vijay is working non-stop for the past one year. He started working for ‘Sura’, his 50th film, immediately after completing ‘Vettaikkaran’. And even before ‘Sura’ hit the screens, he commenced his next venture Kaavalkaran,” they say.“Hence Vijay badly needed a break and decided to spend this short-summer vacation in Bangkok. It was his longtime practice to spend some days in a foreign locale immediately after completing a movie,” sources add.
