Silash is currently CEO at Armacom, a new GCC-based investment advisory business. He has wide ranging financial, asset management, transactional, legal and execution expertise in both public and private asset markets (including both debt and equity). Previously, Silash was a Principal at Arch International Group, where he structured and completed numerous debt and equity investments. In addition, he led the development of the firm's syndication platform, and oversaw initial and secondary offerings in a number of listed investment funds. From 2002 to 2007, Silash was at Lehman Brothers, where he was Global Head of Foreign Exchange Structuring.The group provided structured derivatives products and hedging solutions in currencies and precious metals to the firm’s clients. Most notable amongst these was MarQCuS, the firm’s algorithmic currency trading models, for which Silash created a ground-breaking suite of six investible indices. From 1996 to 2000 Silash served within the Equity Derivatives group at Morgan Stanley across a wide range of equity-linked, corporate finance and taxation transactions. In 1996 Silash qualified as a UK solicitor, having trained with Clyde & Co., where he worked as a litigator on marine and political risk insurance cases. Silash holds an MBA from London Business School, which he completed between 2000 and 2002, during which time he was also on the board of Internet Vision, an internet consulting firm. Silash was educated at Highgate School and at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, where in 1992 he gained a BA Hons in Economics and a Diploma in French. He speaks English, Italian, French and Gujarati, and is currently learning Arabic. Silash currently serves on the Campaign Development Board for Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University.
