CLASSIFICATION OF CASTING MATERIALS

There are many different types of casting materials available to suit many different types of projects. If you are creative with jewellery then you may wish to look at the various resins for casting unique resin jewellery pieces. If you are after a fun and creative party activity for children then you may want to investigate the casting of plaster ornaments and plaques for them to paint. Plaster is the most ideal casting material for this purpose. Every project has its own requirements and here we will look at the most popular casting materials and their uses. GYPSUM PLASTERS Gypsum plaster is a versatile, cheap and safe casting material to use for many different types of applications. This material only requires a latex mold and not the more expensive silicon rubber molding materials which are generally needed for resin or pewter castings. Casting plaster types are best suited for general purpose plaster casting such as for children's plaster painting ornaments. Casting plasters have a harder surface which prevents chipping and provides a good surface for painting. For projects that require a harder and more durable plaster casting material you might want to look at one of the stone plasters. These are more expensive but the strength is superior. RESINS There are many types of resin. They generally made up of polyester, epoxy or polyurethane and can come in either clear or opaque finishes. We will look at the various types of clear and opaque resins and their applications. Opaque Resin: The most common type of opaque resin in use today is polyurethane two part resin. This comes in many forms and various setting times. The time it takes to set hard when mixed in most cases is very short, usually 3 - 5 minutes. This resin gets really hot and it is recommended to use a Silicone Rubber Molding Material. These types of resins are not as brittle as clear polyester resin and are therefore suitable for making model parts and small detailed items. The castings can be painted, drilled and sanded. Transparent resins: The cheapest clear casting material is polyester resin. This requires the addition of a toxic chemical called MEKP to create the chemical reaction which hardens the resin. Special care needs to be taken when using this material and gloves should be worn. Polyester clear casting resins produce a very clear and hard casting which can be polished by hand to produce glass like effects. This product is excellent for embedding and due to the slow setting times it allows most bubbles time to rise to the surface. Another type of transparent resin which is really starting to become popular is the epoxy type. These resins are much easier to mix at a ratio of usually 1 to 1 and have low odour. They are also a lot less toxic than polyester resins. Since 1997, EnvironMolds has been manufacturing and distributing superior quality art supplies throughout the world. About Mold Making And The Types Of Molds

Mold making is the procedure of generating molds for forming metals, plastics, rubber, glass or ceramics in to shapes. Molds are negative spaces that serve as a model or pattern for shaping heated raw material such as plastic, metal, glass, ceramic, or other. Molten material is heated and poured. The liquid hardens and takes the shape of the hollow shape which is then removed. Thus, molding is a process of manufacturing a variety of objects in a specific shape of size. Molds are used for metal casting also. Molding can be done in a variety of methods. Here are some types of molding application that are adopted by the manufacturers Types of molding include: Blow Molding: Blow molding is a process through which hollow plastic parts are formed. The process starts with melting plastic pellets and forming them into a parison. The parison is a plastic having a hole in one end that is compressed so that air can pass through. There are three types: extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding, and stretch blow molding. Compaction plus sintering: Conventionally, the process is used for molding ceramic objects and other products using compressed powder. The entire process is based on the atomic diffusion, in which, the powdered material is heated to a temperature below the melting point. Compression Molding: It is a process of molding in which the molding material is first preheated and then kept in the open and heated like a mold cavity. The process is applied on thermostatic plastic compounds. Extrusion Molding: Extrusion is a process through which a fixed cross-sectional profile can be created. Using this process helps in creating very intricate work. Extruded materials can be polymers, metals, ceramic, foodstuff, concrete, and more. Injection Molding: This process is ideal for developing parts from thermosetting plastic and thermoplastic materials. The treated material can be aluminium and steel for making body panels of cars, and more. Laminating: Unifying two or more materials is called laminating and the process adopted is known as lamination. The treated material can be wood, plastic, and more. Reaction injection molding is a part and parcel of laminating in which the thermosetting polymers are used. Components made through this process are air spoilers, automotive bumpers, and fenders. Matrix Molding: The process is utilized to shape complex materials such as with glass, ceramic or glass composites. The process is also known as matrix transfer molding. Rotational Molding (or Rotomolding): This process is also known as rotocasting, rotomolding, or spin casting that is implied to create a vast range of hollow items of plastic. Transfer Molding: This process is very similar to compression molding which is ideal for thermo set plastic. Thermoforming: In this method, a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable developing temperature to form a mold and then trimmed to get the right shape of an object. The process is adopted to manufacture containers, disposable cups, clamshells, lids, trays, blisters, and other products for the medical, food, and general retail industries. CAR STICKERS TO ENHANCE YOUR MARKETING CAMPAIGN

A Car is an automobile that is generally smaller than other types and is made to carry people primarily. However, as most are made in uniform colors and shapes, it is possible to make cars more individual with stickers. Stickers for cars are a type of sticker which has caught on well in today's auto-centric society. Because they are small and packed full of information, they do their job well for a minimum of fuss, expense or aggravation. One reason to use stickers on the car is for a personal reason. This makes the car more individual and makes it reflect your personality. There is a huge range of stickers on the market. Another reason is for a campaign. If you are running for anything from MP to Parent Governors to Student Body Representatives or even the Prime Minister, these will help. By putting Bumper or Window Stickers on the car, your image will be everywhere making people interested enough to go and view your ideas and hopefully even vote. The most important thing to do when using the stickers as a form of advertising is to make sure that the sticker will attract your target audience and that all words are big enough to be read from a distance Car decals are created from materials that must withstand the smog and pollution of carbon emissions from the car itself and others traveling on the same highway. They can't be flimsy or else they won't look good on your car after a few days. No, stickers for cars have to be durable but nice looking, too. Who would want to put something ugly on their beloved automobile? The stickers for cars that people use everyday are generally brightly colored. The adhesive is also made to last also, but can often be removed with not too much trouble. They can't be something that would fall off in a short time due to the amount of abuse and grime that they will inevitably receive in the hot sun all day, in the rain or even stormy weather, and constantly battered with exhaust fumes and auto emissions. Cars decals are a relatively new development in advertising, coming into existence over the past half a century or so. For a quite low-cost, stickers for vehicles have become a method of coding and processing. It's also an effective way of identification, regulation, and providing information. Car stickers are really ingenious because they are comparatively small, lightweight, and easy to produce and, if they are of good quality materials, long-lasting. Whoever came up with the idea of using stickers on cars for advertising really was on to something! Melbourne Sticker is one of the best company to produce attractive car decals for its clients.
