TAKE A RIDE. GIVE A TOY. BRING A SMILE. Chiang Mai ToyRide: helping children in need with charity motorcycle parade, party, food, live music, games and toy giveaway! Chiang Mai, Thailand – On a festive Sunday morning, 19th February 2012, hundreds of riders on motorcycles of all types and sizes, laden with toys, games and stuffed animals, will parade through Chiang Mai and then create a massive pile of toys to be given to boys, girls and babies in need. Following the ride to the X-Centre Xorb Ball field, the charity party kicks off with bands for kids, rock ‘n’ blues for adults, clowns, magicians, games and prizes for the kids, food from local vendors, awards for best decorated bikes and, the highlight of the event; the toy giveaway to the children! All motorcyclists are invited to join the event whether their bikes are large or small. And there’s no admission charge: just bring along a new toy to warm a needy child’s heart..........

I had a great time on Sunday. I am really looking forward to repeating the experience in a year's time. What am I talking about? Why the Chiang Mai toy ride of course! For those of you who are not familiar with the event it is the opportunity for people with motorcycles to have some fun and bring a smile to the face of a disadvantaged child. Don't worry the motorcyclists do not take the children on bikes. What they do take, in most cases, is a beautiful cuddly toy which children of all ages love......

Everyone exceeded their fun quotas at the third annual Chiang Mai ToyRide (CMTR) charity motorcycle ride on Sunday, 21 February 2010. Nearly 200 bikes of all shapes and sizes (and riders of all shapes, sizes and ages) met the Tesco Khamtien parking lot in Chiang Mai to start the ride/parade to the X-Centre near Mai Rim for an afternoon of food, drink, music, clowns, magician, best decorated bike contest, prizes, face painting, games, relays and the famous giveaway to children from the mountain of toys the riders had donated ..... Everyone exceeded their fun quotas at the third annual Chiang Mai ToyRide (CMTR) charity motorcycle ride on Sunday, 21 February 2010. Nearly 200 bikes of all shapes and sizes (and riders of all shapes, sizes and ages) met the Tesco Khamtien parking lot in Chiang Mai to start the ride/parade to the X-Centre near Mai Rim for an afternoon of food, drink, music, clowns, magician, best decorated bike contest, prizes, face painting, games, relays and the famous giveaway to children from the mountain of toys the riders had donated. The only requirement for admission was one toy, though it was also mandatory for attendees to smile a lot while watching the antics of the special guests of the day: about 100 children from Chiang Mai’s School for the Blind, the Children’s Shelter Foundation, the Glenn Croston House in Lamphun, and the Ban San Fan Orphange in near Doi Saket. .........

The charity festival, which will take place the 17th of October 2009 in Chiang Mai, is organized of Thailandfreunde e.V.. A social organization which was founded and is led by Dirk Weeber-Arayatumsopon. The press report is published in Thai language and giving the information to the public which were told at a press conference about the charity event. The press conference took place the 16th of September 2009 in Chiang Mai.
