Chiang Mai ToyRide - Christmas Hospital Give-Away

Every year, members of the Chiang Mai ToyRide Committee visit a local hospital and deliver gifts to the children. As we do not wish to disturb the hospital or the children, except of course for Santa Claus’ laugh, this is a closed event. We do pass on the heartfelt wishes of our CMTR Sponsors and contributors, and a full report will follow. It is your donations that make this possible. Chiang Mai ToyRide - Pah Lin Village School – December 8, 2011

This school is possibly one of the most needy schools we have ever assisted. It is located 5 km from the main road (hwy 1095) up a steep and sometimes impassable dirt road. It is a small Karen village school and this was truly a unique event. If you want to read more go to the following link : http://chiangmaitoyride.com/?cat=90

Chiang Mai Mail Vol. X No. - February 25 - March 04, 2011 - The Chiang Mai Toyride rides again - A Great Day

I had a great time on Sunday. I am really looking forward to repeating the experience in a year's time. What am I talking about? Why the Chiang Mai toy ride of course! For those of you who are not familiar with the event it is the opportunity for people with motorcycles to have some fun and bring a smile to the face of a disadvantaged child. Don't worry the motorcyclists do not take the children on bikes. What they do take, in most cases, is a beautiful cuddly toy which children of all ages love......

Chiang Mai ToyRide - Mae Sapok Nursery School Event 17-Dec-2010

Mae Sapok school is a very small Karen nursery school located in the mountains near Mae Win (Hwy 1013). There are 44 children ranging in age from 2-6 years of age. They have requested school materials, floor mats, sweaters, and also shampoo, soap and toothpaste for the children. CMTR has purchased these and other items. A water canteen, some shelves and even a toy slide were on the list. It was disappointingly rainy and chilly Friday morning, but it didn’t deter the CMTR participants and volunteers. They showed up at Richco Motorsport, our starting point, in surprising numbers....

The Chiang Mai ToyRide committee was advised that it is one of the poorest schools in the Hang Dong/ Mae Wang District 4 school area...... On June 24, 2010 the “fun” events took place. A group of our dedicated and generous riders first met at Richco Motorsports in the AM and shared the provided coffee and rolls. We then rode to Carrefour Shopping Centre, near Hang Dong, where we met up with more riders and staff from the school board. The rain was holding off, and 21 motorcycles joined in the ride to Ban Huay Nam Khao School.....
