a1. Friedrich Grassmann, from Menkin in Pruise (Germany), born 1831. He came to South Africa in 1859 with his wife Dorothea, born 1827. They had 3 children. 1. Paulina Gertina who married a Venner then a Muller then a Van Niekerk. 2. Dorethea who married a Dirk Bakkes. they moved to Delmas in the Transvaal. 3. August Christiaan Godfried who married aMartha Maria Buchner. They had 12 children. My husbands grandfather, Christoffel Johannes was the second child born 05/08/1888 and died in Alexandria, Eastern Cape, South Africa 24/01/1991. they had 6 children. My husbands father was the 6th child. August Christiaan Godfried was born 20/03/1923 and died in Knysna 04/03/2003. He married Anna Maria Barkhuizen. She was murdered on their farm 24/06/1996. They had 4 children.

Genealogy.... My ancestor was a Abraham Peltzer. He left Germany to go to Texel, Netherland. Then he came to South Africa as a soldier in 1708. I would like to know who was his parents?
