Pleasanton in Yasni Exposé of Brian Lancaster

A Pleasanton man has filed a $3 million federal lawsuit against a local police officer, an Alameda County Sheriff's deputy and a San Ramon Attorney. Brian Lancaster is asking for a jury trial, claiming, among other things, of false arrest and false imprisonment.

A Pleasanton police officer and an Alameda County sheriff's deputy disclosed confidential information to help a woman locked in a bitter child-custody dispute, according to a $3 million federal civil rights lawsuit filed by her ex-husband. Officer Tim Martens and Deputy Ryan Silcocks "used their positions as law enforcement officers to unlawfully obtain and disclose confidential information" about Brian Lancaster of Pleasanton, Lancaster said in a suit filed last week in U.S. District Court in San Francisco. The traffic stop was concocted after Secord spoke of a plan to have Lancaster "falsely arrested to gain advantage in the child custody dispute" the suit says. Silcocks, who is on paid leave, has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of fraudulent computer access, unauthorized furnishing of a criminal record and unauthorized disclosure of a state Department of Motor Vehicles record.
