The pace of this race was fast from the start, with the French rider Marie Laure CLOAREC making a solo break on lap two and at one point in the race, CLOAREC lead the chasing bunch by over minutes. CLOAREC was reeled in prior to the start of the final 11km circuit. In the final kilometre, CLOAREC again made a break for the line.
