A mercenary named Kaupa drew with King Gustav of Sweden in the 30-year war against Wallenstein and Tilly. He fell in love with a beautiful maiden in the border area of Bohemia and Moravia, a part of the Sudetenland (the so-called Schönhengstgau, area surrounding Svitavy, Moravian and Bohemian Trübau), now the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
